AICSYS, Inc., Taipei, Taiwan has announced the RCK-204ML a compact 2U Rackmount Chassis that supports up to seven low-profile PCI Expansion Cards. The new chassis borrows its design from our number one 2U chassis, the RCK-204, which is unique due to a depth of only 455mm. While still only 455mm deep, the RCK-204ML can support up to 7 expansion cards, instead of the typical 3 slot support from our competitors. Conventional 2U chassis, with the help of a 3-slot PCI riser card, are limited to support only 3 expansion cards, due to the limited space inside the chassis. This limitation often results in users having to go with a bigger 4U chassis, for those applications which require more than 3 expansion cards.

Designed specifically to utilize all 7 slots typically found on a standard ATX Motherboard, the RCK-204ML supports low-profile expansion cards. These low-profile PCI cards adhere to the PCI SIG standard, which the majority of low-profile cards comply with. Video Capture, LAN, VGA, Serial/Parallel Port Adapters, USB, and 1394 cards are all available in low-profile footprints.

The RCK-204ML is constructed of heavy-duty steel, and supports a standard ATX size motherboard. (1) external 5.25" drive bay for CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, (1) external 3.5" FDD and (2) internal 3.5" HDD bays make the RCK-204ML ideal for anything from a Network Server to a DVR. Fully capable of supporting any high P4 or Xeon solution, the RCK-204ML provides exceptional airflow with (2) ball bearing fans with replaceable air filters. A 2U 300W PSU comes standard with the Chassis.
